DIAGNOSTIC PROCESS

Accurate Diagnosis. Correct Repair. Complete Confidence.

Modern vehicles are highly sophisticated, with many different systems capable of producing the same fault symptoms. For this reason, every vehicle booked for diagnostic work undergoes our own comprehensive assessment, regardless of any previous diagnosis or advice received.

While previous inspections or fault codes may provide helpful background information, they cannot replace our own testing procedures. Our technicians must independently verify the cause of the concern using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment, technical information, and structured testing processes. This ensures we provide an accurate diagnosis before recommending any repairs or replacing any components.

Our diagnostic process begins with an initial one-hour diagnostic assessment. During this time, our technicians will inspect the vehicle, retrieve fault codes, perform system testing, and determine the most likely cause of the reported concern.

In many cases, one hour is sufficient to identify the fault. However, some concerns particularly intermittent electrical issues, complex drivability concerns or multiple system faults may require further investigation. If additional diagnostic time is required, no further work will be carried out without your authorisation. We will contact you to explain our findings, discuss the next steps, and obtain approval before proceeding.

Our goal is simple:

  • Identify the correct fault, not just the symptoms.

  • Prevent unnecessary replacement of parts.

  • Save you time and money by ensuring repairs are accurate the first time.

  • Provide complete transparency throughout the diagnostic process.

Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of every successful repair. Taking the time to correctly identify the cause of a fault allows us to deliver the highest standard of workmanship and gives you confidence that your vehicle is being repaired properly.
